New Jersey Specific Terms
- Purpose and Scope
These New Jersey Specific Terms (“State Terms”) to the Terms of Use (https://thescore.bet/legal/terms) (“Terms of Use”) describes the New Jersey specific terms applicable to Score Digital Sports Ventures Inc.’s provision of its Services to you within the State of New Jersey. The use of the Services in New Jersey is subject to all applicable federal laws and regulations of the United States of America, the applicable laws and regulations of the State of New Jersey, the Governing Documents and these State Terms. The State Gaming Authorities authorizing the Services in the State of New Jersey are the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (“NJDGE”) and the New Jersey Racing Commission (“NJRC”). All capitalized terms used herein but not defined shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the Terms of Use.
- Excluded Persons
As stated in Section 6(d) of the Terms of Use, Excluded Persons are not permitted to establish an Account or use the Service. For New Jersey, Excluded Persons are defined as follow:
- The Governor or Lieutenant Governor of New Jersey;
- Any New Jersey state officer or employee or special state officer or employee as defined in the Casino Conflicts of Interest Law;
- Any member of the New Jersey judiciary;
- Any member of the New Jersey legislature;
- Any officer of Atlantic City;
- Any person employed as a casino key employee; and
- Any person prohibited from gaming pursuant to N.J.A.C. 13:69G, N.J.S.A. 5:12-119, or N.J.S.A. 5:12-100n.
- Underage Gambling
In New Jersey, it is a criminal offence to allow a person who is under twenty-one (21) years of age to participate in Internet or mobile gambling. SDSVI takes its age-verification responsibility very seriously. SDSVI carries out age-verification checks on all customers at the time of Account creation. SDSVI will ask for information to verify your age and identity (including requesting a copy of a government issued identification) and can restrict or suspend your Account until your age and identity are confirmed. By signing up for an Account, you consent to SDSVI’s confirmation of your age and identity. Please note that anyone under the permitted age for participating in Internet or mobile gambling found to be using the Services may be reported to law enforcement and be subject to other legal penalties.
- Prohibited Participants
In New Jersey, in addition to those listed in Section 6(f) of the Terms of Use, Prohibited Participant also includes a person identified by any lists provided by the sport governing body to the NJDGE and the NJRC, shall not be permitted to wager on any event governed by the league or sport governing body with which they are affiliated. Any employee of a sport governing body, or one of its member teams, who is not prohibited from wagering as described herein shall register with the NJDGE prior to placing a wager.
Further, N.J.A.C. 13:69N-1.1 defines a ‘prohibited sport pool participant” in the state of New Jersey.
- No Use Outside of New Jersey
In New Jersey, it is a federal offence for persons physically located outside the State of New Jersey to engage in Internet wagering through a New Jersey casino or racetrack, except as explicitly authorized by the NJDGE.
- In-Person Withdrawals
In New Jersey, in-person withdrawal is available at theScore Bet cage at Monmouth Park Racetrack located at 175 Oceanport Avenue, Oceanport, NJ 07757.
- Disputes
In the event of there being a dispute over the time at which a wager was placed or whether a wager has been placed, then the time at which it was recorded (if recorded) on the transactional log will govern settlement. If an attempted wager was not recorded on the transactional log, no wager shall be deemed to have been placed. You should check your Account balance each time you visit the Services. - Placing Wagers
By offering to place a wager with SDSVI, and as a condition of SDSVI accepting your wager, you represent and warrant, that you are not a “prohibited sports wagering participant” as defined under N.J.A.C 13:69N-1.1.
- Dormant Accounts
In New Jersey, Accounts are deemed “dormant” if the user has not logged in to the System within any Permitted Jurisdiction during a twelve (12) month period. Dormant Accounts will be opted out of all bonuses in accordance with the Special Rules. In accordance with applicable laws and regulations, unclaimed balances in dormant Accounts may be forfeited.

- New Jersey Prohibited Wagers
The wagers on the following events are prohibited in New Jersey (each a “NJ Prohibited Event”):
- Any collegiate sport or athletic event that takes place in New Jersey, or a sport or athletic event in which any New Jersey college team participates regardless of where the event takes place; and
- All high school sports events, electronic sports, and competitive video games.
An NJ Prohibited Event does not include (a) the other games of a collegiate sport or athletic tournament in which a New Jersey college team participates, nor does it include any games of a collegiate tournament that occur outside New Jersey even though some of the individuals games or events are held in New Jersey; and (b) international sports events in which the majority of the participants are over the age of 18. Further, NJ Prohibited Events will not include events that are otherwise approved by the NJDGE.
